in other news....

I am up to my neck at work. Actually probably my ears. Lots of crystal reports to get done by this friday, so obviously its good time to do this.... Anyways... been wading through the bowels of .net code this past few weeks and have done the entire service layer for this... unit tests the works. Now I just need it all to be plugged in.

I actually don't like being so busy in work as it ruins my motivation for other things.. i.e. cycling!

And I have a new toy that I want to play with:



Its a bit pimp and done up in team phoenix colours... so have got me a new top/gilet after having to get the last stuff cut off me after the accident.

Now if only the weather would stay nice and I can get a ride...

Right now... a really serious accident occured last week in on of our club races and a nice guy called Davy McCall died. Hit by a car from behind. Not good.

I was going to race that night, but didn't.

To be honest, its taken the shine off of racing for me at the moment. We had a meeting to determine whether or not we would be running anymore races this year, and I'm pretty much voting 'no'. I think we need to take time and reasses the race courses and get over whats happened.

Tragedy is the only word to describe it.

older versions just are not good. no support for refactoring, i can't even encapsulate members.... arghh. no support for testing.. yuck. why on earth does it look in the GAC for assemblies when I've told them its in a specific location?

and .net 1.1.... don't get me started. No anonymous inner classes or generics.... bah.

Although vs 2008 is supposed to be good..... we shall see.
Bring back Eclipse a proper IDE and some java development! all is forgiven....

quick update....

its been a while!
been really busy in work this past while which has kinda impinged on the training business.... but even so have managed to get a few runs in.... still not getting the fitness back though :-( its taking longer than I thought to build it back up and my wind (heh) isn't what it was....

i'll get there though.
